I'm getting Medicaid. How do I find someone that accesses adults for Aspergers? I was looking on Google but I wasn't sure what to look for. I did see some counselors in my area that will see adults with Aspergers but I don't think they are qualified to diagnose it.

Have you looked into getting a diagnosis by a psychologist?

I'm in NY (not NYC) and don't drive.

I just wondered what to search for and if there were places that could tell me where to go. Otherwise I'd just have to randomly call people and ask if they do that and take Medicaid.

I had my assessment done when I was a child at a specialized clinic(?) Not quite sure what to call it. From my understanding, all my parents had to do was request the assessment and the rest is history. Not sure where you'd go since you're in the US, so this isn't entirely helpful, but I went to a clinic called Minds & Hearts. If you look it up, it might give you an idea on the kind of place you should be looking for.
