Lo' everyone. I have a favor to ask. I have a science project due the 22nd of March. I was thinking about building a catapult to relate to physics. You know, those really huge things used to destroy a castle wall in the Middle Ages. (don't worry, this one will be a scaled-down model using marbles, not srong enough to break a window. ) Anyways, i have a general idea of what to do, but i need a good site so i can do my research, preferably one that gives you instructions on how to build one.
If you know any good sites about medieval catapults, please psot a link to it on this thread. Any sites related to catapults would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch! :D

I think the medieval ones are more commonly called trebuchets, but I'm not an expert. Maybe they used both.

You should have named this topic "Catapults..." to fit in with the other recent ones

Go to www.ask.com

Type in: How to Build a Catapult?

You can also go to trebuchet.com/plans.html or www.howstuffworks.com/question127.htm

How Stuff Works is one of my favorite websites. I learned how to fix our toilet and our garbage disposal, which is definitely not as fun as building a catapult.

Ghostix: Yeah, i think i really meant trebuchets. I'm talking about the siege weapons that have a sling on the end of a throwing arm and a counterwieght on the other end. You know, like the ones in Lord of the Rings?

Tallgirl: Thanks for the site. I'll take a look at it.
