I have all of next week off from school. Yea!!
My week went much better once I got past monday. This afternoon I had my history midterm exam which I was dreading to n'th degree. I spent as much time as I could tolerate studying for it. Last night I set myself down at around 7pm and planned to study notes and my texts for four hours straight. However at around 8pm my eyes were really starting to bother me and I was getting a nasty migrane as a result so I took some aleve and laid down w/ pillow over head until it went away.
However, I managed to fall asleep instead and woke up at 1am. I got up and studied for about 2 hours more before going back to bed around 3am.
The test was an essay test that I compile all from memory reagrding some aspect of history from 5000 B.C. to 1 B.C. When I got the question, which involved explaining greek and roman politics, I sat for a second thinking it over. It then hit me.. "I can answer this!!"
I felt so much better and took pencil to paper for the next hour writing out my essay going into as much detail as time would allow. I was one of the last ones to finish up. Some people turned in their essays after only ten minutes!
When I got done I packed up and was headed out the door when something caught my eye. The attendant at the front desk in my dorm was passing time reading a book since the TV in the lobby was dead. The bright red-orange with tan trim cover of the book gave away the title instantly. She was reading "The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night Time"
I went up to her and commented
"I've read that book before, It's pretty good"
She smiled and chuckled at me
"Yes, It's verrrry interesting"
With that I left for spring break on very good note.
On Tuesday I go down to Madison for my first comprehensive psychological evaluation in 15 years.
I can't wait!
