I read about this awhile ago in that apparently some aspies also get diagnosed as being psychopathic (among other disorders such as narcissistic)

Ive always felt really competitive and i hate losing however im never a bad sport about it. also im usually very charming. and yes i do usually think highly of myself.

anyone else had similar problems?

Being competitive is not a problem. I'm not understanding what you're asking.

I referred to the title as opposed to what the OP posted.

well there have been a few instances where i was violent because someone touched me such as a slap or something, i would always get shocked and just punch whoever it was.

but also sometimes i think about hurting people im not sure why but its really annoying. these days i can control what i think, but its just an annoying thing i guess.

i spose there are pros and cons of my personality.

On this forum you'll see aspies who have comorbids such as Narcissistic Personality Disorder, Avoidance Personality Disorder, ASHD, anxiety, depression, and so on. I suppose psychopathy is also on there. It's not a term I use too much because it does have serious negative connotations, doesn't it? When I think psychopathy I think of John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, James Holmes, etc.

Hmm if I had a personality disorder I think something like avoident or schizotypal personality disorder would be more likely than narcissistic or anti-social Personality disorder. Anti Social PD is the closest one to what is more commonly known as psychopathic(at least in the DSM) but I kind of hate that term because its over-used in so many movies and to me its lost its accuracy and can refer to more than just anti-social PD.

Ah yeah thats true. ive just been the type that doesnt care about what others think if i have myself set on a goal. and my current goal is acting, so when someone says you cant do acting i pretty much tell them where to go. (still have to enrol in drama class).

But i just always wondered why i was a bit pushy in real life and so on.Because although i got a diagnosis in aspergers ive wondered why i want to start a career in acting. and why im always so dam competetive lol

Well I do have to seriously question if James Holmes is a psychopath....That video I am sure most people have seen of him sitting in court raises a lot of questions.

I just read a few bits about James Holmes. They say he's not a psychopath. My bad. I guess I was just using the term to reference someone who went on a killing spree and he came to mind.

i went to see a psychologist and a psychiatrist after a follow up from a doc saying i had Personality Disorder Cluster B? :S dunno what that is but basically when i went to see them 2 psychs, they wanted to see if i did have one, but then they referred me on for an aspergers assessment, and i got diagnosed a few days ago with aspergers. so i think i didnt have a personality disorder :S but apparently undx aspies can sometimes be dx with a personality disorder instead, i dont think i was ever disordered with a personality disorder after all that, i'm so confused if ive answered your question

I thought it was a common NT trait to be competitive, especially when it comes to women and fashion, and men and sports. It sickens me, since I choose not to compete and just be me and take others how they come, not what they're wearing or how good they are at sports. I just conform to an extent to fit in but I still wish I didn't have to without being ridiculed if I didn't.

I'm not sure if I have personality disorder or not. I have looked up about it on Google but the list of the symptoms is a bit over the top, it states every possible trait anyone could have, even general personality traits, and if someone had very little on the list then they'd be emotionless robots, unless there's a more accurate list of personality disorder possibilities?

I also have some sings of AvPD and StPD and also OPD or OCD, not sure on that one.
But not that strong that you could diagnose me those, just as tendencies, who could also be seen as part of autism.

I believe that especially StPD, SPD, AvPD and OPD are very common in autistics.

Honestly, you don't sound out of the ordinary. Judging by your posts you seem caring, and you're concerned that you may be a psychopath. True psychopaths aren't going to give a damn; that's part of the problem.

Yes, I also think you might have some tendencies, but they could also just be autism.
