People framing you

I'm sure this must be connected to Asperger's - very often people slander me and it looks very much like they're trying to frame me. Does it happen to you a lot too?

Eg: the landlord wants to make some repairs in the apt., so he asked me to call the repairman and arrange a time suitable for me - which I did, but the repairman said he'd call me with a final answer of when he's able to come do the repairs - which he never did.

When I asked the super of the building (who had recommended this repair man), he said that the repair man had complained that I can never make the time to receive him.

I'm furious, because this is slander (I'm committed by contract to find the time, within reason, to allow repairs to be done in the apt.). I think either the super, the repairman or the landlord are trying to frame me for some reason. Either because they want to make me look bad for some hidden agenda of theirs, or because they're trying to dump someone's guilt on me.

I sent a letter to the landlord saying that this is slander and to arrange the time with the repairman directly and not through me. Not that a letter helps, but at least I released some steam at the injustice.

When I had more difficulties, yeah I would believe people were conspiring against me. Not so much now. It would only be slander if he knew it was false and repeated it on the radio or television or in front of a huge audience. Do you have a hidden agenda? I'm going to assume "no". So why would you assume anybody else have one?

I started writing a post, but I think someone else might be able to explain it better, I've been awake for too long, goodnight. Also, seriously, they have no agenda. Assuming someone has an agenda without direct evidence is simply a way of convincing yourself you're more important to the world than you are. Not that your life isn't as valuable as anyone else's.

I get really paranoid about stuff like this too.

Perhaps just try and find out where something went wrong. Maybe there was a misunderstanding? I know sometimes my mum accuses me "using a tone" when I didn't mean to and didn't even realise I was doing it. It could be something like this. Either way, it doesn't sound like it's your fault

The landlord was pressuring me very much to pay the guy (it's $200) cash without getting a receipt or even a signed note that I had paid, then he'd send me a cheque for the amount. I of course refused, even before I knew most chances are the repairman would've had another "unfortunate misunderstanding" with me and claimed I never paid him.

There are situations where it is illegal not to even have a receipt.

For example, in Texas if you buy livestock and fail to get a receipt, you cannot legally even drive them home. I think the same goes for buying a motor vehicle.
