Are these aspie traits/related?
1. Ever since I was very little I have acted in many ways like an animal
2. also I still have an imaginary friend at 18 - like when I'm scared I have him to comfort me
3. anyways another thing that's kind of helped me cope with dealing with people recently is that I've invented a persona- I named her Gene- who acts normal with people, I hide behind her and she'll do the talking, I put to use all of my observation of people interacting and try to copy them...
soo are these aspie traits?

I have a mix of your second and third point. Whenever I am forced to go somewhere to talk to someone, I have an imagined "older brother"-type person walking with me encouraging me to go on and distracting me from the situation with discussions.
Given that it's a coping mechanism to deal with uncomfortable situations I think more people might have something similar.

I wouldn't say all of it is autism related. The wagging your foot is something I do too, and it might be a form of stimming. However, autistic stimming is usually specifically related to dealing with stressful situations, so I don't think it has anything to do with autism. I also growl a lot, and for me that is due to stress. I do it to release some of my frustration as a sort of verbal stim. Sometimes I will meow at my parent's cat, but that's just to see if I can confuse them enough that they think it's another cat. As for the rest of it, some of it may have something to do with autism and some of it may just be your own particular brand of odd.
