Double jointedness. When my mum was talking to some parents of AS children, a lot of them said that their kids are double jointed.
I'm double jointed in many places, anyone else?

Just my thumbs.

It's sort of a misnomer. More like de-jointedness.

Yes, I am but not as much as my youngest son. Right from the time he was a baby, I was told he had 'low muscle tone' which I think is part of double-jointedness and yes, I've heard common with AS? My Mom is quite double jointed, too. All of us bother people by picking stuff up and generally using our toes finger-like. It is fun to gross people out. I used to pull my arms so far back my gym teacher was frightened my shoulders would dislocate. I am sure there was no danger. I felt absolutely no pain.

I am double jointed in my thumbs, and every joint in my body pops in and out of place. My fingers hyper extend backwards too. It isn't fun.
