My nephew was getting scolded and I laughed. I always see it as silly and humorous. Now mostly since the nephew is only 3 when it's my sisters (8&10) I think it's your own fault so I laugh. I've made topics like this before so sorry. It just irritates me that for the billionth time I get "Don't laugh" etc. and I get mean stares. :-( I really need to move out!! !! I feel why bother being around family if I'm going to laugh when they scold the children or I get called rude. Even saying "I'm reading my textbook" (due to my tone I guess) comes off as "rude" :-(

I have this same problem, almost exactly. I have a 4 year old nephew, who gets in trouble a lot, and I always laugh when it happens, and it makes my sister (his mom), mad. I also get accused of being rude when I answer people, even just this evening, I got yelled at for not answering in the right tone, even though I don't even realize why they thought that.
