I know there's probably already many blogs kept online by people on the spectrum, but I've finally decided to start one of my own. The aim is to express the unique experiences I have in life in a way that will make sense to anyone, regardless of whether they are on the spectrum. The goal is communication and understanding. It is not a place to complain or release stress, but rather a place to share and educate and perhaps even entertain.

Part of it will relate to my AS, part to my narcolepsy, and other parts probably not so easy to categorize.

Feedback is always welcome.

I don't want to comment because if I put my email in it will show my name, and I'm trying to keep the world ignorant about my Asperger's.

However, I like your blog. It's good. I will be reading it. Also, feel free to read mine: Empowered Outlier

It's a blog about being different, accepting those differences, and increasing awareness about differences. Non-conformity and understanding.

I sound like a hippie. :D

Thanks. Your blog looks interesting as well, I'll keep an eye on it. Is there a way to "follow" blogs on blog.com? I don't see any, but it would be handy.

I hooked the blog up to Google Analytics last night but now (12 hours later) it still says I have 0 pageviews. Strange. I know from you that I have at least one. Hopefully it's just lag in the system and it will catch up soon.

I just looked at it, so there's one. :D I like your writing style. I especially enjoyed your description of seeing small details versus the big picture.

Thanks FishStickNick. : ) I just added a new post about Taiji. I think I'll be updating this one frequently. In the past I've held back from writing most of what I wanted to in blogs, but having one that's more anonymous and that my family and friends don't know about frees me up a lot.

That's why I created a different one.

I'm talking about all kinds of issues that society stigmatizes....
And I don't want to get stigmatized myself.
It's really sad that we can't just talk about these things...

Thanks, both of you, for checking out my blog. I'll keep up with yours too. :)

I read your blog too. I like your description of how you see the physical world with the table and chairs. I see the world like that too.

Hey, random question and kind of off topic.
I read a previous post saying that you are Jewish. So am I. And I'm (quite frankly) wondering if Raynaud's is more common among our population.
I know, that can be a problematic question. But I'm curious as I have heard that around.

And I bet it sucks! I'm in the lower 50 of the U.S. and it still is bad!

Oh, and thank you, btw. :)

Thanks again for the feedback, guys. Analytics finally started working, it seems, and most of the hits come from this site - hooray! I've just added another post on the topic of autism and body language. I hope it is informative!

By the way, I'm also interested if anyone ever disagrees with anything I write, or at least doesn't share my experience. I often wonder how much of my experience comes from my various conditions and how much is just me.

Sorry for the double post. I just want to point out that I've added one more autism-related post, this one regarding savantism and the general ability that grows out of the perceived disability of autism. I'm very interested in feedback on this one, as I think it's a fairly new perspective, or at least one I've not heard before.

Don't worry, I won't keep bumping this. Just want to make this last note and then I'll let it go. Thanks again to everyone who has visited. Please spread the word, because I really believe I have a gift for communication, and if enough people read what I have to write, the process of understanding could really get rolling in a new way.

Thanks!

Will read. I have a lot of questions about savantism.
