Paying for the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale Evaluation
Hey, so I've always been curious to know my IQ. I was administered the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence and my Performance IQ was 79, Verbal IQ was 118, with Full-Scale IQ being 98, my nervousness and anxiety may have exacerbated the test results, plus it was with a psychologist that I had never met before. Anyway, I'm thinking about having myself evaluated under the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale with my regular psychologist, who I have a friendly relationship with, just to obtain a general profile of my cognitive abilities.
Has anybody else paid for an evaluation before? What's it like? Are there any other intelligence/cognitive abilities tests you'd recommend?
Those results do show a Verbal/Performance gap. Maybe you could ask your doctor about the possibility of evaluating for other NVLD-related problems.
