Asperger is a name. A person's name (Dr. Hans Asperger). Names can be pronounced in various ways in different languages. Asperger's name is no different.
Jesus is pronounced Jeez-uss in english, Hay-suss in spanish, and something like "Yeh-shu-a" (Joshua is practically the same name) in other languages (forget which). No matter how it's pronounced the name referred to is the same.
No, there is no "universal" way to pronounce any name.
If there were, there wouldn't be so many renditions of so many names. Ever look up all the versions of "John?" Did you know "Ian" means exactly the same thing?
