i keep a small chess set on my desk.. its set to the starting position, and i made only one move, 1. d4.. now i really like the way i keep my desk, if one pen or paper moves, no matter how "disorganized" it may seem, i can tell right away.. theres an order to the madness.. anywyas, the other day i come in and i noticed someone made a reply with black and moved 1. ...d5 no one in the office said they moved it, so i just assumed the freakin chess fairy came in during the night and moved the piece.. so i replied 2. Nc3.. sure enough the next day i come in and again, someone had made a move 2. ...Ng6.. now while i was thinking someone was just messing around with me, having harmless albeit disturbing (because i didnt know who it was doing this) fun.. i completed the veresov opening 3. Bg5 and waited to see what would happen next.. when i came back from lunch sure enough my mystery opponent had made a move 3. ...e6.. the difference today was the players ( i am general manager of a soccer team and school) were in the office as i sat down to make my move, one of the players sat down and said "ok lets finish the game now".. i had no idea this individual liked chess, much less knew how to play.. everytime anyone got near the board id ask them not to touch and leave it alone, but i guess this is one time where it works out, as i now have someone else to play chess with..
