Currently not, and have not been for the last 7 years. Just don't see the need for them.

I used to take medication for anxiety and depression, but I stopped because they did absolutely nothing. I've been drug-free for over two years.

I take medication for depression and depression-like symptoms, and I'm trying to start with sleeping medication, because I can never sleep when I should sleep and my sleeping cycle always gets out of control to extremities. I guess this is AS related?

I HAVE to take Zoloft and other meds, or I don't do so well... :(

I was on it for anxiety and depression and supposedly OCD. In fact I should be on it again so I am more functioning but I am not spending anymore money so I would rather try harder.

I take Xanax (as needed) for anxiety/sleep. I also take daily Vitamin B6, Super B-complex, fish oil, and magnesium (my Aspie wonder-drug).

yep. for OCD and depression. It is likely that I may need to take these for the rest of my life. I am not stable without them.

Well, I am taking medication for depression, but when I tried to take myself off for awhile I realized they actually helped me control my meltdowns much more, so I went back on them.

I take Coumadin because of a blood clot I had in my leg after back surgery several years ago which led to a pulmonary embolism. I need this medicine to help prevent the absence of proper blood flow in my leg from forming another clot.

I take Bystolic to help control my blood pressure which has been running a bit high lately.

I do not take any medications for my Asperger's because I believe it is not something that is wrong with me. However, the Bystolic has helped a lot with anxiety issues I have had.

Although I do not take prescription meds for anything directly attributable to Autism, I do take St John's, Valarian, and Melatonin as well as make certain I get plenty of Magnesium, B Complex, 5HTP, and Omegas. I've found the herbs do better for me than the prescription chemicals, but it should be noted that I take way more than the label on the OTC package says to.

I don't know if depression counts as an "AS-related" symptom or just a common comorbid condition, but social anxiety and OCD have a lot of overlap. I'd probably have answered "yes" for any of the three.

I find it really difficult to take any medication for my symtoms of AS which are many..OCD and depression being some ..but hate that Zombie feeling when all you want to do all day is sleep....so not that helpful for me!
