Are people that play loud music with thumping base annoying. The feel of the bass and the vibration just drives me nuts.

Depends on what kind of music.

I really like deep, powerful sounding music. I don't like it when it is really loud though, and I think it is rude to play your music loud enough for other people to hear. I don't even like listening to the music I like to listen to if I'm not in the mood for music.

The sound and pressure is torture, it seems the farther away it is the worse it affects me. I can barely tolerate passing cars flaunting sensory hell in the form of a Roland TR-808 drum machine, the maddening thing is when someone in a nearby house starts in. Bassy melodies don't have a negative effect on me, otherwise I'd never be able to play bass guitar. I'm glad it's just the droning bass that turns my skin inside out.

Yea i don't mind going to concerts here and there but when there is someone playing 50cent passing by with the bass set to 10 it really messes me up.

Drives me crazy! I once went to a party and couldn't understand why I was being treated so poorly. Turns out by going over and turning down the insanely loud, thumping music I apparently annoyed a lot of people. I just assumed it was pure torture for everyone as well.

Well, those people will get their's in the end. They will end up being old and deaf.

I like hard rock and heavy metal, but when I have to go to parties or shows the sound tortures me. Then I have to go away and take a walk. People appears to understand my behavior even when they don't know me very well. Maybe they don't care anyway.

Where I live, sound carries for a long way. I can hear high school marching bands in the stadium two miles from my house during football season, so all the bassy car stereos in my neighborhood can rattle my windows from several blocks away.

It annoys me aswell, especially when I can't actually hear the bass drums, but can just feel it, and maybe my ears feel a bit funny when hearing it aswell as though the sound reaches my ears but my brain doesn't register the sound.

That does drive me up the wall!

YES!, if I put in headphones or even distance myself from the sound, the vibrations still drive me up the wall.
