In social and work situations there are some people harder to click with.

It may take months but people start to understand how odd I am and some turn on me.

How common is this.

Unfortunately, in my personal experience it's common. The good thing is that relationships fluctuate so if you can just wait it out, it will usually die down. Some people become accustomed and more accepting to your oddities over time, which is always nice.

Very common for me. Still trying to understand why some kinds of weirdness are ok, but my differences usually are not. Rejection is the central theme in my life.

That has happened to me so many times...I wait in fear for that to happen in each new job. When it's a supervisor doing it, that's the worst.

Now I understand why so many people with Aspergers or HFA do not work.

It's the way of the world and so unpredictable there is a larger minority that you would think who cannot tolerate or navigate it.

That's exactly what happens to me all the time.

Some seem to hate me within the first minute of meeting and conversing with me.

Some seem to hate me after two or three occasions of talking with me.

Many others take longer, but eventually start keeping a distance from me as if they don't want to be infected by my outcast status.

A very small number of people seem to treat me respectfully even after they know I am odd.

Workplace bitching also contributes a lot to the way people treat you. Even if someone doesn't notice any oddity in you, others will make sure that he/she will know that you are odd/an outcast by providing him/her with a lot of disrespectful/belittling comments about you.
