Maybe it's just me but i've been wondering why I may move kinda robotic and why my muscles seem kinda "stiff". It seems like the left side of my brain rarely work. And when I do something to calm me down or changes my thinking process like smoking weed my brain loosen up along with the rest of my body and im able to move in a range of motion that I wasn't able to do before. Does anybody have a slight idea of what im talking about?

My aunt had really bad arthritis, before she passed away, and I'm pretty sure, that she was on the mild end of the Spectrum.

I feel like I have a mild case of arthritis.

I found this youtube video I may resort to taking some muscle relaxers. I think it may help me physically and mentally.

Stiff muscles are not a symptom of arthritis. And taking muscle relaxers is BAD BAD BAD! They are benzos which are highly addictive when taken on a regular basis. Try a regular aspirin.

As far as arthritis being related to autism or AS, I would have to say they aren't. In my family there are several with AS and not one has any sign of arthritis. My dad is 85.

As far as your symptoms, what you describe sounds more like Parkinson's than anything else. You might want to get checked out by doctor.

I have musculoskeletal problems that I have had from an early age. Most of my muscles are permanently extremely tense and cause me a lot of pain. A physiotherapist said I had pathological neurological tension and obviously stress and trying to walk on snow and ice make it worse.

As n4mwd said, muscle relaxing meds are a bad idea, I tried them for a short while and they did not help significantly to risk addiction so I stopped them. I stand on a vibrating plate exerciser which reduces the tension for a while.

I am not that familiar with Chronic Fatigue, but if I can guess correctly based on my knowledge of benzos, benzos will make it worse. Benzodiazepines are usually the main ingredient of muscle relaxers. If you go off them, you'll have to do it gradually over several months. Most people who are addicted to them have no idea they are addicted, they just know that bad things happen if they don't take them.

I can only speak for myself and I know it may of had negative effects on others but im looking for anything to take away strees in my body. I got a 2 minute sample massage the other way around my traps and back. I felt alot more relaxed and comfortable. But I know that it will come back that's why im maybe will take a try into taking relaxers.

Another thing to try is a T.E.N.S. or E.M.S. unit.
Using one of these is not addictive and is quite pleasant.

My son, who has Asperger's, has been diagnosed by multiple rheumatologists with psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. This thread is old, but the medical info is incorrect, so I wanted to clarify some points. "Benzos" are NOT muscle relaxers. They are anti-anxiety drugs including, but not limited to, Valium and Xanax. Common muscle relaxers which are NOT addictive would be Flexeril or Skelaxin. Soma is also a muscle relaxer, but it's strong and not the first thing the doctor uses. My son's case has been very complicated, and along the way he has taken Valium, Flexeril, and Skelaxin. I hope anyone looking for medical information will not just read posts and believe everything they say but will go to reputable medical sites like mayo to verify the facts.

There is no link between Arthritis and Asperger's, but the doctors have often discussed the uniqueness of my son's case. (They have found no cases previously studied or writings about this combination) Autism spectrum makes pain management more complicated, especially with the sleep issues. It also makes communicating symptoms to doctors difficult.
