I am beginning to get obsessed with this girl from the band Of Monsters And Men, Nanna.
I have been watching every video of this band in youtube. I've never obsessed with someone famous until now. Can't control it!!
How can i get over this obsession?
From whom have you been obsessed? What have you done?

I used to be obsessed with Alan Rickman and Ralph Fiennes...I'm talking, not being able to think or talk about anything but either one of them for the longest time. I still like them, but I'm not so rabid about it anymore.

I don't understand why this obsession is harmful. Can you elaborate on that, please?

I wouldn't say it is harmful, i just want to know how to get rid of this kind of "I love that famous girl" thought. I have a bad feeling about it. I mean i like her but its like AAaAAhhh too crazy. I don't know how to explain it. maybe i am too stupid.

I've only ever been obsessed with a real person once, it was when I first got into music when I was 13, it hasn't happened since.
But I tend to get obsessed with fictional characters. I should also clarify that these are not crushes, I don't want to date them or whatever.

Maybe they find it embarrassing.

Hmm. To get rid of it. I don't know. Maybe if you immersed yourself completely in it for several consequtive days without doing much else you might get bored of it. Looked through all the material you could find concerning this person until you couldn't find any more. Unless there's a truckload of information out there...which is possible I guess...I don't know.
Or you might already be doing all this and not getting bored (which would make sense too since autism). I don't know. I don't know. It might also just leave you feeling still as obsessed but sad for discovering all there is out there with new information slow to become public.
Ahh, I really don't know how you could get rid of it, I have the worst self-discipine myself.
