I have found I often just have sudden down days- I'm recovering from a massive problem I put on myself- and I don't know if its due to that or due to the general hoplessness I sometimes feel.
Is this an average thing that people feel or is it just me? How can I deal with it I end up in tears often because I just feel so frustrated and down and have no inspiration for anything.

you should consider a visit with a pdoc. the unipolar thing is scary. the sooner you get this taken care of, the sooner you can get on with the rest of your life. also the sooner you take care of it, the easier it will be, as the dysfunctional neural pathways won't get the chance to become entrenched. or so it was explained to me by my pdoc.
