My mom having a get together

Ok so my mom has been having these get together things on the forth Saturday of every month. It is with some of her old friends from school or something. I really don't care and like to not care. But they last for 4-5 hours and guess what this Saturday it is at my moms house. When my mom first told me I'm like so I will pretty much be in my room all day on my laptop like on a normal Saturday. But then she said this "I told Sasha and Kate to bring there daughters since there your age." I just stood there think oh crap what the heck. So basically this Saturday I am going to have these girls in my room for 4-5 hours. This is going to be SO boring. I don't even hang out with girls I don't know what they like. I am hoping we can just sit down and play the wii u but what if they don't like video games. What if all they want to do for hours is play...board games. I know I am being a little rediculos about that. The thing I am worried about is since every four months from now on my mom will be hosting what if these kids are a regular ocerence. Now I couple things I worry about are, and this is why I am posting to this forum, rocking, hand flapping and other involuntary things. What if they think I'm a freak. So I really don't know what to do. I always hate it when other people come over I always get so worried about trying to act normal I get besides my self.

Does your mother expect you to entertain those girls or was she just mentioning them and meant nothing else? Ask her. She probably did not mean that you have to keep those girls in your room. I doubt that the girls would want that anyway - they are likely to have very different interests from you.

you might want to ask your mom for a clarification: are you expected to entertain these girls the whole time? or just put in an appearance and meet them?

also ask what she knows about their interests. You never know, there might be something in common. (for instance, contrary to popular belief, girls DO play video games)

Having an intense stim session before they arrive will help you not need to stim as much during the gathering. Pick some socially acceptable stims for during the gathering. If you involuntarily stim anyway, and it's commented on, use it as a teaching moment - that it's a reaction to stress, and even positive stress is still stress..


Very likely, the two girls will entertain each other with chatter and you will only need to feign attention, if that.
