I am curious, because I hear every day that autistics are introverted, but I actually met in real life people with ASD that were quite extroverted. Even my brother, who has severe autism, is extroverted, and likes interacting with people in his own, "weird" way, though people who don't know him well may think he's introverted just because he doesn't talk. About me, it depends very much on my mood: I'm extremely moody, and because of this there are days in which I don't want to talk to people, and I don't even want to see them around me, and other days in which I'm willing to socialize more. Generally, people think just that I'm introverted because my lack of social skills, also because of the fact I hate being in a room with too many people (I can have a meltdown when among people if I forget to take my meds), but this is untrue because, as I said, it just depends on my mood and from my lack of social skills. But I actually met kids with AS that were quite extroverted, and felt bad because they couldn't make friends properly. I know that introversion is not necessary for an ASD diagnosis; 5 different psychiatrists, and even my mother (who has worked a lot with people with mental disorders of every type) told me that, so I think it's true. So, do you consider yourself an introverted aspie, and extroverted one, or just one that is in the middle, or whose introversion/extroversion is caused from different factors?

Introverted

That's if introversion means:

prefers to do things alone
sensitive to sensory stimuli (generally stuff that comes with lots of people close together)

Introverted, no doubt of it. I can talk with people about almost anything for a minute or so, then I get bored and try to leave their company. If I can't leave I get more bored and absent-minded and my replies are really random.

I lean towards being extroverted.

I'm introverted and nobody ever really knows what's going on inside of me because I don't share it. Everything I share with a person becomes less, therefore I avoid communicating personal things. Talking about feelings sort of dilutes them. I rather keep my stuff to myself and don't feel even the slightest desire to share my inner life.

I'm introverted, but I'm almost certain my dad had AS and he was extroverted. He needed a lot of social interaction every day in order to be happy. I'm the opposite. To be happy I need a minimum of social interaction.

The extroverted version of aspie is usually called, "active but odd."

Even my father looks like having AS, but is quite extroverted. Though he's a bit like me: it depends on his mood, though he's less moody than me.
