Alex mentioned before the change over to the new server their would be changes
to the way avatars are permitted to be used. So my guess untill he has that code worked out your going to have to wait. Before you were requested to use 140x140
(and a certain max file size) and many people did not follow that request so the new method will insure only correct sized files are used.

Broken with the transitition, hopefully alex will resolve this, and other issues, shortly. See the posts on WP.net discussion. (They are more likely to be updated)
