1. Peacoks are more attractive to a female if they are have bigger more colourful fathers, the down side is that they attract more predators then a male with small dark fathers.

2. In the human world, woman are more attractive to happy and content man, so how come men don’t evolve to be happy and content with every passing generation. What is the disadvantage in being happy. And why doesn’t the majority of lonely people, suddenly become at peace with themselves in the attempt to find themselves a partner. In reality the opposite is true; they become very needed and depressed.

My conclusion is opposite of what a lot of NT say about woman being attracted to men who are happy and content; happiness has its disadvantages. I am far from being happy; I am very depressed at time, plenty of ups and downs. When I am ok, I appear very happy, and no woman can see through this.

Depressive realism is the (contested) proposition that people with depression have a more accurate view of reality.

This gets interesting. Evelutionary advantage of depression goes to prove that Depression is NOT an ilness thus cannot be cured like one.

There ARE two types of depression:

NORMAL Usually causes are known, leads to improvement
CHEMICAL Often causes AREN'T known, can be debilitating so that it goes in a spiral.

I agree that normal depression isn't a disease to be cured. The other SHOULD be. I don't agree that odd chemicals are the way to do it.
