What is the difference between Stimming and Tourettes Sydrome???

I think that while stimming is not exactly voluntary( and you may not even notice your doing it) it can be stopped at will, or controlled if you try. Where as tourette ticks are totally invoiuntary and can not be controlled at all....kind of like muscles spasms.
Also perhaps stimming actually provides us with comfort, calmness and relaxation or release of anxieties, i don't think tourette ticks do this.

These are only my thoughts though, i don't know that much about it.

I was just recently mystified by an involuntary tic on the right side of my face and it appeared like I was winking. But my mother told me I had always had it since I was a little tiny kid. Often as I did it then I threw my head to one side as well
This is me at the age of 11 being caught doing it and I was rarely even aware I was doing them.
