Juat read the title. I'm curious about aspire & auntie issues in the workplace.

My auntie doesn't aspire to be issued from the workplace.

It might be helpful if you were a little more specific about the types of problems you're wondering about...

My biggest problem is interacting with my co-workers. I hate small talk, and I don't care to get to know them, but I seem to be forced into it; it's awkward. At our end-of-the-year party, they voted me "most unique," which I'm not sure what to think about.

Haha, yeah, your autocorrect messed with both key words there

I don't have issues with being fired. I have issues with staying in a job.
My issues are mostly to do with vague instructions, uncertainty, non-linear processes, and probably a bunch of other things relating to executive function problems. I have the social issues too but these don't make me quit.

The work realm, for most of us, is where we perform a service for money. It is also a realm (For most) where there are very subjective standards, and more than enough oppertunities for non-verbal communication issues to make us look bad.

Read the work sub-forum, there are far more depressing work issues there than I care to read.

I have been told that I sometimes come off as unintentionally rude and go into far too much detail when talking about work related things, and need to learn to adapt my speech to the audience better. My boss thankfully seems to "get" me to a T which is a little eerie.

On the plus side I have a reputation for being reliable, hard working and paying great attention to detail.

I get told that I'm not social enough. I'm quite happy to sit in my office and work, rather than talk crap and be best buddies with everyone else.....

I am also a people pleaser, and would end up answering my phone after hours and going out of my way to be helpful. I'm now learning to say no and be stronger, but the downside of that is the conflict that it brings.
