Do you ever experience any of these when learning or thinkin
Do you at times blank out or just stare into space?
Do you think while pacing and ideas come to you slowly?
Do you take forever completing assignments IN class and prefer to do it at home (as in it takes long because of wanting to get up, think, stare, etc.)
Takes a while for the mind to focus on the subject, and when the mind actually locks on, it starts generating ideas (as in after staring and just slowly leisurely idling, you start to slowly finishing it)
Can't handle sitting still for too long because it's too hard to work and focus on an assignment 100% and finish it right away?
The reason why I'm asking is because at times I experience one or more of these, so I was wondering if I'm the only one in the boat here.
I experience some of those, but not all.
I blank out very frequently, especially when I'm alone doing something, like an essay.
Pacing just makes me dizzy and irritable.
I can't do any assignments around other people - even the slightest noise distracts me. The sound of someone flipping a page can make me want to scream, it's so annoying.
Yes, if I stare at something for long enough, I usually can come up with an idea!
And lastly, yes, I often get up and walk somewhere else, do something else, then I come back and feel refreshed.

YAY, I have people who feel almost like i do. example is now, im having a hard time releasing my ideas in a single stream for my assignment (right now i have a second tab with my assignment) and feel distracted a bit, although i must say after anxiety meltdowns and cycles i have a hard time doing well in school as well as i would without the constant cycles which result from little things.

I sometimes find myself staring into space. I wouldn't refer to it as "blanking out," because I'm still thinking about things. I call it cognitive reverie.
I pace and think a lot in the garage while having a cigarette, and I become impassive and mentally detached.
It usually takes me longer to read or do mental work when in public places because I am always distracted by the feeling of being watched by people. And, yes, in some sense I feel behaviorally restricted when in public because I don't want to draw attention to myself by behaving strangely.

What sometimes worked for me was staying up really late. I think some part of my brain just sort of switched off when I was tired, and stopped interfering with my thinking and writing on the topic I was studying. Of course, I'm not sure if the quality of the result was great! Perhaps going for a walk to make me tired might have worked better.
