one year to the day, today, I recieved my diagnosis.

Rather than cry about it, I felt like celebrating. It was like a second birthday.

Did anyone else experience this? :thumleft:

No, silly! I've known I was autistic from an early point in childhood. I don't know any better. But happy anniversary! Sorry I have no gifts for you.

I'd also rather celebrate my AS as well. Congratulations! :)

Today's my one month, haha (disclaimer: I wasn't consciously aware of that until I saw this threat). Anyway, good for you and woot! It'll be easy for me to remember since my diagnosis only preceded my birthday by a few weeks.

Happy diagnosisday!

I would also celebrate that. I can very well imagine it is like the day you finally get your identity (officially).

I celebrate my Asperger's Syndrome, but I see no reason to celebrate my diagnosis.

No disrespect intended thomas81, but I don't think that making a big deal over diagnosis is very productive, as it could only add to the bigotry and discrimination faced by the self-diagnosed on Wrong Planet.

Sorry for killing the atmosphere, but that's my opinion.
