i'm oversensitive. whenever i get a speck of dirt in my shoe/sandal, it's like walkig on sandpaper, and i'm oversensitive to most pains, except when banged on the head i hardly feel anything.
being oversensitive is very annoying, because things keep bothering me, but being numb can be dangerous, because what if something's wrong and you dont know it?
are you too sensitive or numb, and to what extent does it bother you? what kind of affect does it have on your life?
i worry and fuss before going to a routine checkup that most people find painless but is very painful to me, and then i'm embarrassed for clutching the arms of the examination table and biting my lip and being real tense. but it's not something i have to do every day, so i guess it's not so bad.

Yes, I am very sensitive. For example, I find acupuncture excrutiating. The practitioner always expresses surprise at how I grit my teeth and flinch. When I read about it, the articles always say that it is painless. Yeah, right. She uses the tiniest needles and yet it is still painful. Also don't even get me started on sensory issues!

I experience them both at different times.
