I wouldn't call it "doomed" per se... But technically, yes you are. I think you can probably learn how to handle it better and deal with it until it's not so rage-inducing. At my worst I became furious and threw a knife at a toaster because the toast didn't come up enough. I've since learned to internalize it and learned calming methods so I don't even feel such a strong reaction anymore.

If feeling short makes you angry, couldn't you learn to tolerate the feeling better? Kind of the way you work on a phobia. Like, you start out with stuff like looking at a picture of you next to a tall person, and wait until you feel okay with that, and then work up to the situations that make you feel the shortest, at each step never causing more than very mild discomfort for yourself, so you gradually get used to it.
I used that for a phobia when I was in my teenage years; it worked pretty well. Don't see why it shouldn't work for you.
