stereotypy's...

On my journey to accept myself as an autistic person, I also have to accept that I will, at times, get tics/stereotypy's, or experience inertia. I'm experiencing a stereotypy now, and it basically feels like my nervous system is going off it's rocker and I can't help but move certain parts of my body compulsively, thankfully it's the middle of the night so nobody can see me doing it, but outwardly it probably looks like I'm possessed or something lol. So in your own experience, how long do these last? I think certain foods, like milk or coffee, can trigger this.
