Hello! Not sure where to post this, but I was thinking about giving up or at least limiting the amount of stimming or flapping I do everyday. I was wondering if anyone else has tried? Did you experience any side effects? E.g. stress or anxiousness?
Thank you!

Lawlz. Bugger that. Ain't worth the effort.

My advice: limit the stimming to stuff people can't see... like twitching your toes inside your shoes or rolling your tongue around inside your mouth.

Why do you want to limit stimming? It's a great way to reduce stress

Just because of the amount of time it takes up that's all :) Maybe not permanently but just for the foreseeable future :)

I actually got my tongue pierced. I could play with the piercing and no one would see me stimming

I guess that's one great thing about having babies! I can rock as much as I want and nobody cares, and it serves a dual purpose now :)

for me, stimming allows me to reduce stress and emotionally process. and also to dream, and think thoughts and be creative!

Now admittedly, probably a reduced amount of stimming would still achieve this.

I made that joke once on here. Having a baby is a good excuse to rock.
