Dear wrongplanet forums.

This is the first time i write here, after being a long time lurker. But i think i stumbled upon the one defining characteristic almost all of us aspergery (myself included), PDDNOSS-y, autism-y people have; the incapability of bonding with a team / group of people soo much that we would disregard any form of logic that would show us the opposite of what our group belives.

We don't enjoy that feeling. We don't have that blind loyalty to some kind of "team" that most neurotypical have. Believe me, i tried to get it (mostly with the champions league and the european championships here in the netherlands) but it's just so freaking unintuitive to me.

I can't imagine ever being in the sort of high-trust relationship that most intense romantic or team-based relationships require.

Especially the just "hanging out part". I hang out with people, but i don't feel magically more attracted to them. Yet most people, according to both scientific and personal experience, do have a better opinion of people with whom they hang out. Its soo freakin freaky!

Also, all these people on our planet who believe in stuff they can't prove, like god!! ! WTFFF, how can i possibly believe the basis for why all humans have the same rights if its so obvious to me that all humans are not even remotely the same preference-wise and intellectually.

In any case, im f****d, i hope you guys are more optimistic about human relationships

In other words, not a strong tribal mentality.

For a great many people in the world, it seems that what is most important to them is the sense of belonging to a tribe. The tribe may be based on where they live, on what they do, on their religion, or even on their favorite sports team.

Why would people need to be the same preference-wise and intellectually in order to have the same rights?
