It's a wonderful sound. I put on earphones but not so great with volume up... very cool though.

But my dog can't stand this brown sound and leaves the room.

Years ago when I lived on a tropical island the Concorde would fly over a couple of times a week... it was well above 30,000 feet, a gorgeous tiny triangle in the blue, and seemingly detached from the deep sound. It sounded, although faintly, just like this video.

Same here. I guess that's one of the reasons I became a DJ.

Well, the sound of the Enterprise has positive associations for other reasons...so yes, the engine noise is nice.

I liked the rain and thunder also. The white noise--so-so.

The last YouTube link--not so much. Felt like a tension and vibration rising inside me.

That is fantastic; I love the Enterprise engine noise :D

I really like the Enterprise one, but I can pick up the pattern and it bothers me. But I have found something kind of like it which I find harder to tell where its looped so the pattern is hidden from me, making it easier to relax.

Sounds great in HD.

I didn't like it. If I had to listen to that continuously, I think it would slowly drive me crazy. It kind of hurt my ears, and sounded grate-y

Just looked at the link again to see if maybe there was more to it. Nope, and it really does hurt my ears a lot actually.

This noise soothes me much more:

DO NOT LIKE THE FAN. (I knew I wouldn't. I hate fans.)

Loved the furnace sound. Which is odd, because it's pretty similar to the Enterprise engine which vibrates my head. I think it's a little less bass, and there's a hiss that makes it more polyphonic. For some reason that makes all the difference. Dunno how it will be long-term. I'll try it.

I have a white noise machine in my room, it's equally static and that's exactly what fades out other noises. It's quite comforting indeed.

Thanks for the link Dots. This sound is comforting for me. I work in a laboratory where the air conditioning machine produces the same kind of noise, I do like it and I get upset if it stops for some reason.
