I get very angry when things do not go the way I want it to go. Today my mother told me that when I was a kid I would get very angry when i could not win the game i was playing.

I certainly still do feel this way. It does get me upset, because I feel like I'm an adult and should be able to act like one, but often feel like a child when I don't get my way. Then I internally beat myself up for it. I really, really try not to get so mad, but the more I try to suppress it the more of an explosion comes out. It's awful. I can keep it mostly together at work, but at home it's terrible when I'm around the kids and they push my every button. I often feel like a failure as a parent, it's terrible.

Yeah, even trying to calm me down and not getting it, makes me even more angry.

When i were a testosterone filled teenager, yes.
Nowadays, No.

The cure to not become angry when you lose control is to learn to take control. Becoming angry is a waste of time that could have gone into fixing the problem.

Yes, in such situations I lose my patience easily.
