alright, i found a rage cycle in Understanding Autism For Dummies (book for my dad) and i found this AWESOME chart:

CYCLE A
1 Rumble: Increased Verbal Behaviours such as swearing, nonsense, noises, unusual changes in vocal volume, making threats

2 Rage: Verbal behaviours such as Screaming

3 Recovery: sleeping

CYCLE B
1 Rumble: increased stereotypical behaviour such as grimacing, fidgeting, rocking, flapping, tearing paper, or tapping foot

2 Rage: Emotional expressions such as explosive impulsiveness and rage at self

3 Recovery: Denial of rage behaviours and withdrawal into fantasy

CYCLE C

1 Rumble: Increased movement, including pacing, walking in circles, or leaving the room.

2 Rage. physical behaviours such as destroying property, biting, hitting, kicking and self-injury

3 Recovery: apologizing

I have a mixed Cylce between these three (my names Emily)

EMILYS CYCLE

1: Rumble: Increased verbal behaviours such as swearing, unusual changes in vocal volume, and making threats, tapping, pacing, walking in circles, ripping paper, leaving the room.

2 Rage: verbal behaviours such as screaming, physical behaviour such as destroying property, biting self, hitting self,

3. Recovery: sleeping

Whats your cycle?

Autism for Dummies? May I ask where you found that book?

Cross between Cycles A and C, Mostly Cycle A except for Recovery, that's where C comes in.

Cycle C would fit me, except for the recovery bit. I can't usually apologize. However, I don't act like nothing happened, either. Instead I sort of act apologetic without saying the actual words.

Do these people have any evidence for this typology, or is it just made up?

Would probably be closest to B. Anxiety and then sudden self hate then I go and play video games or something to distract myself from it and feel better after an hour or so.

B, I guess. I don't relate to a denial though, but a lack of realization of my stress level until it's glaring obvious. I definitely have had issues with impulsivity.

I don't really rage at all.
Or get angry.

Cycles A,B and C apply to me. I'm not sure about statement 3 in each of these Cycles, though.
