Yeah, things like that can happen from time to time.. you just need to learn to cope with them better, calm yourself, relax and carry on. Just breathe, take a few minutes in solitude, go for a walk, meditate, have a toke if you're into that sort of thing, think happy thoughts, focus on what you're doing and don't let things ruin you for hours/days/weeks. I know, easier said than done, but while I can still blow up and get mad (ie an argument I had yesterday) I'm better able to calm myself and move on quicker and quicker than I have been in the past. Just takes practice. I was right fired up with an argument yesterday right before I went to work, but I managed to put it out my mind and was in a pretty relaxed and positive mood all evening, got my job done and went home. If I dwelled on it and let it keep my fired up I'd have been a wreck and unable to do my job w/o getting frustrated with customers or coworkers etc, but they had nothing to do with my argument and didn't deserve to have any spillover of my earlier mood - so, in keeping with some of the best advice I've ever received.. to "Be present," I try to focus my thoughts, feelings, actions & everything on the moment at hand. Once I wasn't thinking about the argument, I couldn't possibly be pissed off, and all was well. I certainly haven't perfected this, but I have gotten much better at it. Practice makes perfect, after all. Just have to keep trying.
