Sacramento: The Harley capital of America

I don't know if that's actually true. However…

I have sensitive hearing and am bothered by many noises most people don't even care about. Unfortunately, that means I have found no information on what US cities have the most and least people who use Harley-Davidsons for recreational purposes.

I hate these vehicles. HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE them.

Moreover, I am sick and tired of being inflamed with extreme dislike. My first of five psychologists said I have to accept it, but he didn't even tell me that there are other big cities that have less of them. I've only heard a few the few times I've been to its sister city San Francisco, and I've never heard any in nearby Davis.

Those little two stroke scooters that kids put loud exhaust on and endlessly drive up and down the same bit of road outside my house when I am trying to get to sleep are much worst.
At least Harleys have a gearbox and a rising exhaust note, unlike those automatic scooters that have the same constant drone whatever they do.

That and those yappy chav dogs that selfish people have with their constant sudden barking that makes me jump out of my skin.

I think most people in general find loud motorcycles extremely annoying. You can't really do anything about them, though, so yeah, I'd say learn to tolerate it.

You need to avoid Milwaukee then, where they are built and are prevalent on the roads.

A neighbor had one and would rev it up for a half hour before riding it.

I'm not a fan of motorcycles in general, through I have nothing against proper operation of them.

Harley's arn't the worst, mainly because their owner-base is usually fairly affulent and arn't in the business of going out to make trouble/noise with them.

In my city the police used to ride H-Ds, not sure if they still do but it goes to show that quiet exhausts don't steal one bit of performance from the engine. Loud pipes however have a supply/demand relationship between aftermarket companies and the LAME riders (Look At Me Everyone) as well as those 'enthusiasts' who seek to compensate for being born with an anatomical deficit
