Hmmm...I have to admit, I like the idea!! While it doesn't fully encapsulate what it's like to be on the spectrum, it's a step in the right direction to educate people!! Thanks for posting this :)

Every Autistic is different, i am confused to how the game applies?
Is it focusing solely on sensory issues it seems?

It looks like.

Anyway, it doesn't look like he's trying to simulate the symptoms, but the sensation you get of them. I have auditory hypersensitivity and I don't feel it like people screaming out loud. What I feel is that I can't help pay attention to every noise around me, what makes (for example) being in a crowded space where everybody is talking (as a Pub) a very unpleasant experience.

But even though it's not the same thing, the outcome is more or less the same: confussion and overloaded perception. This is well represented.

I indeed find it very difficult to tune out noises. The worst is when I'm trying to sleep and there's some faint noises from outside in an otherwise silent room (although that's often aggravated by simply not being sleepy!) It's why (a) "white noise" works well for me and (b) if I use earplugs, they'd BETTER block out 100.00% of the noise!

Why are all the kids screaming like apes?
What an annoying video.. I get the point, I get it.... but I'm getting overloaded just watching this thing.

To simulate how annoying noise can be for autistics to people without sensory issues.
I agree with the overload thing though, I can never properly watch these things made for NTs to stimulate sensory issues.

I had to stop the video half way through. Too much.

It's not accurate to what sensory overload actually feels like to me, but the general suggestion of exponential increase in volume coupled with the chaotic visual effect is something that I can see might assist NT's in having gaining some level of understanding.

Bogus, No ones vision goes all static like this. Another bogus autism video that grossly exaggerated the sensory issues.

Talk to a doctor you probably have some other condition, such as a brain tumor.

Talk to a doctor you probably have some other condition, such as a brain tumor.

Do you have proof that this doesn't happen due to sensory reasons?

I would understand not being able to interpret images you see due to sensory issues, but for your eyes to see static is bogus.

This is the idea.

A NT is not overloaded by noisy ambients. So, to simulate the feelings, the video game has to show something that can actually overload a NT.
