I know this seems like a silly question, but it's one of my quirks. It may be aspie-related for all I know. I see people do it with items like pizzas, hot dogs and burritos frequently. I really meant things like Beef Lo Mein, turkey & mashed potatoes or spaghetti & meatballs where you need a fork or chop sticks. Weird, right?

Speaking of which.... I prefer chopsticks over a fork and I'm not Asian. Anyone else?

My sister? She's not on the spectrum, though she's not NT either (ADHD).

That sound so delicious. I like eating while driving; you are not alone.

I don't eat while walking down the streets, because I can't walk and eat in the same time.

The few occasions I regretted eating while walking is when I accidentally and unknowingly walked near a dog. It seems like they wait for the last minute then suddenly start barking at you. I've gotten so surprised I've dropped my food on the sidewalk. I've eaten many times while driving, too. That's probably a dangerous act. I understand it's also getting banned like texting while driving.

Me either. I either trip, run into something or just drop the food.

On the other hand, contrary to what my parents think, I can watch out for cars while reading a book. In fact I'm better at doing that than at being vigilant while daydreaming (which I usually do if I don't have a book).

I can't even carry a tray at the diner without dumping the drink, I do however carry my plate around the house and stop and eat wherever I feel like. If someone comes over I just move my plate to the counter by the door and carry on, i'm told this is rude.

You guys aren't Asian Yuugiri? Does she bring chopsticks with her when she goes out to eat at non Asian restaurants?

Its what they call multi-tasking, but I am told my eating is disgusting to watch and that I should refrain from talking to folk when in middle of a mouthful. I find talking to be a normal extension of walk-eat routine but apparently I am badly out of touch with myself and/or the effect I have on others.

No jokes, I used to get irritated red inflamed skin down the sides of my from the corners of the mouth downwards) from the incremental bacterial accumulation of food residue. This was in the student days and I have now learnt this is not cool. Still, wife has to remind me on a regular basis to clean my face up after eating.

I would if I could, but the best I can do is to eat an apple or something. I do eat raspberries, blueberries. candies etc while on the train.

Yes I have. Im impatient in waiting to eat so I just eat while walking sometimes. More often I'd do it with food you can eat easily on the go such as snacks, fries, burgers, burritoes, etc but sometimes I do eat food with a fork while walking if I am impatient and it is in a to go container. I'm actually very skilled at eating food on the go.
