MYTH: No one dies from Autism
Please cite your sources for this alleged "fact".
I'm getting a vision ... it was somewhere near water ... the letter 'M' feature's prominently ... flowers and the color blue are also present ... horses ... lots of horses ...
C'mon, people! You can do better than that! I know I can:
Epilepsy occurs in 10-30% of individuals with autism. This association was mentioned in the first description of autism by Kanner. However, the association between autism and specific epileptiform electroencephalography (EEG) abnormalities is not firmly established; neither is the prevalence of epileptiform abnormalities in the broader range of pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) (Source: Tuchman R. "Treatment of seizure disorders and EEG abnormalities in children with autism spectrum disorders"; Journal of Autism Developmental Disorders, c. 2000; Chapter 30, pp 485 to 489.)

And finally...
Link: Girl dies shortly after vaccine shot
That headline above is factually accurate. Of course, most people reading it will assume that the vaccination caused the death. But we have no evidence of that yet, so try not to jump to conclusions.
Gardasil, an HPV vaccination (though different than the one the girl in England received), has been given to over 7 million girls, yet there have been only 20 deaths after getting the shot … and for almost all of them there is no obvious relation between the shot and the fatality except for timing. In other words, they were tragic coincidences.
Only this, and nothing more.

The article states she suffered from a mitochondrial disorder that was aggravated by her immunizations somehow. Autism was one of many health issues that seemed to suddenly affect her. I never knew what to make out of this case.
It looks like this girl is still alive, just was awarded a judgement for suddenly "becoming autistic".

About vaccines; some people can be allergic to them and have reactions and die. I never had a vaccination because I already had allergies that made it a strong possibility I would be allergic to the vaccines too. My oldest daughter had a reaction to the Pertussis vaccine and was in the hospital for a few days. After that, she nor any of the other kids got the pertussis vaccine. Her reaction to the vaccine wasn't mortality but it was morbidity and it's not associated with autism. She's NT, and although some people insist that vaccines cause autism, I have AS and never had a vaccine. How would the girls death have anything to do with autism? If she died from something related to that, then she died from a complication of the vaccination, it had nothing to do with autism.
John Travolta's son had epilepsy as well as autism, didn't he? I think he died from a seizure. While some people with autism have epilepsy, not everyone with autism does, and epilepsy is not a result of autism as many people without autism have it. Deaths from seizures cannot be attributed to autism just because "many people with autism have epilepsy" any more than deaths from sickle cell anemia could be attributed to being black because most people with sickle cell are black (there are some non blacks with it, but very few I think). A death due to a cormorbid, when the comorbid isn't caused by an accompanying disorder, must be attributed to the cormobid and not the accompanying disorder.
Deaths from epileptic seizures are caused by epilepsy, whether or not the person also had autism, or was deaf, or left handed, or had leukemia, or was born with two hearts and a cats tail.

No. The article said...
"Unknown"? If it is "unknown", then they could not know that mitochondria were involved.
Oh, really? According to the dictionary...
Because the court records are now sealed, there can be no examination of the FACTS that were presented during the trial.

The court awarded this girl's family an estimated twenty million dollars over her lifetime for care.(1.5 million + 500,000 annual maintenance.) Not dismissing the girl's medical needs, but if there wasn't solid evidence there then wtf?

Thank you so much the link! I was trying to remember details, i knew it was in the south, for some reason i didn't think the girl was white, so i'm wondering if there's another case i need to find it (i dont want to miss one) although it's possible the Georgia one was what i was thinking of, its been awhile since i googled it and i can't find it right now... it's such a bizarre case.
Sometimes the CDC has "cover ups" god forbid there's an outcry and big business goes down...

Wouldn't it be nice if some of those useless tail-chasing autism research projects went to finding better treatments for epilepsy instead?

If the qoute "Neurotypicals" are epileptic they technically they aren't Neurotypicals... I don't mean to start i just think that its true.
They aren't neurotypically normal thus they aren't NTs

Like so:
Autistic: People on the spectrum.
Neurodiverse: People who are not neurotypical; includes any brain oddity, from synesthesia to epilepsy to intellectual disability, and many others. All autistic people are neurodiverse.
Neurotypical: People who are in the average range of neurology, without any diagnosis or oddity about their brains.
Non-autistic: People who are not on the autism spectrum. Includes people who have synesthesia, epilepsy, intellectual disability, etc., but not autism. All neurotypical people are non-autistic.

Sure, people die from autism (indirectly): the autistic people who were killed by "euthanasia" programs in the past, or ones who are refused treatment for another illness because of discrimination.
