Does anyone get anxiety when they text even when it is family? Its easier for me to text but I get so much anixtey when trying to text my family members is there any way I can reduce the anixtey when texting them? Sometimes I get so much anxiety that it prevents me from texting them

Yep. Seems stupid. But yeah, always. Unless I'm upset and in meltdown mode. At those times there's a lot of determination in getting them out, unfortunately.

Whenever my phone goes off (not very often) I get incredibly excited. Once I read the text however I become very anxious. I worry about responding properly and put it off, though it haunts me, only making my anxiety worse. Then I get upset about how long it is taking me to respond, and eventually I feel like I waited too long but I feel terrible that I didn't respond. It all builds and builds. The cherry on top is how ashamed I feel about how anxious I feel.
