Help for Adults with Autism
I'm wondering about resources out there for helping Adults with Aspergers/Autism deal with social situations. It seems from reading Attwood's Complete Guide to Aspergers that most of the effective treatments involve early intervention. I was referred for diagnosis because of issues relating to social anxiety and I was sort of hoping to find some kind of, not necessarily cure, but help, as well as an explanation, even though Aspergers does give a pretty neat explanation for how my life's panned out so far. So are there any late diagnosis people out there who found any helpful methods for dealing with social interaction?

Yeah. Wrong Planet and comparable websites.
Not perfect by any means, but apparently the best there is. I guess we're somewhat lucky to live in the Information Age with an Internet to look up and discuss Asperger's.
If you are on facebook, I suggest you look up Karla's ASD page. She has a ton of information for Autistic adults and most of it is 100 times more useful than Tony Attwood's stuff!
