A couple of weeks ago when I was passing through Amarillo, Texas, I stopped to get gas for the car and noticed that the convenience store had ROWS and ROWS of straw hats of every description. Found the perfect one!

What does your favorite hat look like?

I wear a lot of caps, which is probably odd for a girl. I have a whole collection. As to my favorite, it depends on what I'm doing. If I'm at work on the ambulance, i have a Superman cap I wear a lot. Plus I have a NCIS cap my husband got me for our first Christmas together. And my current favorite is a Chicago Blackhawks cap. I've wanted one for practically forever, but in my little corner of the world, I'm pretty much the only hockey fan there is... Finally got one off ebay.

No, because I hate hats and I never wear them.

Yes. :) It was soft, comfortable, made of natural fibers & looked good with anything. A friend of mine said I looked like Oliver Twist or a newsboy in it. She meant it negatively, but I loved it even more afterwards. haha Someone took it, though, and I never found a good replacement.

My real motive for writing this is to say: PrncssAlay, your avatar is beautiful. The composition is exquisite.

Yes, I have had my favorite winter hat for decades. It's flattering, warm and washable. I had a wool hat when I was younger that did similar service but eventually it wore out.

That's funny to picture, THE GOOGLY EYES.

I have a felt hat that I think is a tellurion homburg. Only wear it on occasions now, because I believe hats cause baldness.

I collect funny hats. I have ones which look like animals, bright colours, unusual fabrics etc. Even one which is a pharaoh's headdress.
My favourite is a black cotton cap which I got four years ago for £3 from a sale and which I have covered in badges from my collection.
I wear it so often that I use it in my icons/avatar images!

I've only just noticed the googly eyes on the plants in that picture! (Was a bit distracted by the moving man.) WOW. You can buy huge bags of googly eyes really cheaply. I went through a phase of sticking them on random items that I own for a while. It improves everything.

Any of my hats with industrial band logos on them constitute a "favorite hat."

I just have one grey hat that I wear when it's raining or really cold, I don't really like wearing hats.

My current favorite hat is a slouchy black beanie and it is incredibly comfortable. Unfortunately, it belongs to my friend. I live with him, so I borrow it on occasion, but it is also his favorite hat, so he is rather possessive about it.

My previous favorite hat was stolen by my ex and I never got it back. I want to find a new hat, but I don't like trying them on in stores because I think about how many other heads have been in them and it kind of grosses me out.

I have a cap I really like that is mostly blue but with stripes of white and much smaller stripes of red.
It used to have a thread at the top connected to a little red ball of yarn (don´t know exactly how to describe how it looked better than that) but after much use it fell off.

I am so attached to it that I once wore it until the middle of summer when the heat made me take it off.
