I've always had a sleeping pattern where I wake up anywhere form one to thee times a night. I usually surf the net for about fifteen minutes and then fall back asleep.

Anyone else with ADHD/ADD experience broken sleep on a regular basis?

my husband is adhd and have sleep issues. he is on tablets and take 1 tablet a night. this does not make him really drowsy, but i know that if he wasnt taking tablets for it he would be a lot worse. some nights just 1 tablet doesnt touch him, so i make him take 2 (the doctor said he can if he gets really hyper before sleep).

he wakes up on and off all night. he is also a very light sleeper. im not the same at all, im a good sleeper and i am always tired, i fall asleep quickly and i can be a heavy sleeper. i dont know what makes me so tired every night.

I have to take another med to sleep (different from the one I take during the day to focus on things and not be hyperactive) and still I can't sleep properly.

Sometimes I wake up during the night, but normally I sleep like a rock. When I get insomnia it's of the "can't sleep at all" variety.

I'm an Aspie, and I generally have issues falling asleep.

Generally, I've taken to waking up at 2AM and staying up until I can't walk anymore (All important activities end around 6PM)

It works, and I'm actually able to fall asleep this way!

:D

I have ADD. I always seem to be tired. I've been trying to get medical help with it since before Christmas. So far no joy. Stupid health (where's the) service.

Yeah me too. On top of the med for ADHD I take in the mornings and the med for sleep/anxiety I take at night I have another sleeping pill that I can take occasionally on nights I can't sleep at all (olazapam) and I still have nights where I can't sleep at all and it still takes me ages to get to sleep.
