What does everyone else think of this?

My friend posted that on Facebook, and my mind jumped instantly to how I could use it on a day-to-day basis for filtering out noise and reducing shutdowns/meltdowns.
It's basically 2 different things. The first modifies your vision with previous "frames". So you can analyze previous data. Say gestures or facial expressions. Or even whole motions.
The second is why I posted here. It's basically a "selective audio". That allows you to only hear what you specify. Say, the person you are talking to. I think this would be tremendously helpful, seeing as I pretty much have to wear headphones when I'm walking around.
What's everyone else's thoughts on this?
