Committing to an Idea

I often find that I have a hard time committing to an idea. For instance, if I like something I won't say I like it, I'll say I think I like it but I'm not sure. If I find somebody to be pretty I'll say I think they are kind of pretty.

Same here! I will say cute if I mean pretty. That does NOT mean that cute means pretty though, as it also means cheeky and can be like a swear word to me. Of course, if I same a woman or girl is cute it can mean anything from very nice looking, to a knockout. She may never know where she really ranks on that scale with me, but it isn't that ambiguous as to what I mean. If I feel I am getting swindled, or fall and hurt or break something, I may say cute as a swear word almost. It is like I am jeering or laughing at the fates or powers that be.

Same here; when I say something I don't want to give just generalized statements or if I someone asks my opinion on a topic which I have previously analysed from both sides of argumentation, I will rather simply answer "Don't know", because I don't want to commit myself too soon or give a long explanation of pros and cons.
