I know I prefer doctors of the opposite sex if any sort of examination needs to be done.

I'd want the opposite sex to. I feel more comfortable around males.

Neither ill be ready with my taser , heres a nice fact for you 90% of the time a strip is not needed as you can hand a photo over as they still will get it wrong by touching that is not needed...

This reminds me of that old pedophile on family guy.

Why is there no voting button for "I don't care either way"? I've had male doctors, I've had female doctors. I never had a problem with either.

Well, there are only 2 tests I really need normally. One I do myself. The other I want to have a PSA test INSTEAD(A simple blood test that is comparable to a soewhat invasive embarassing test). I say want, because the last doctor I went to refused to do even that saying I was too young(that was a lie), but said the other test that he ALSO didn't do was recommended for people even younger than I was. The next doctor to do that to me will be reported.

Anyway, with that, I guess the sex of the doctor doesn't matter.

Steve

I don't care, as long as all of my medical needs can be attended to in the same office. Luckily, my current doctor's office is like this. I don't like the idea of having to travel clear across town for my medical needs.

There's no poll option for "it doesn't matter to me."

A photo doesn't work if you're female and going to the gynecologist. I can't take a photo of my cervix.

The same sex. In fact, I refuse to see any doctors or health care professionals of the opposite sex....For any kind of intimate examinations (Which I avoid at all costs) it would be extremely important to have a female doctor, but not just any doctor, one that I knew well and had been seeing for at least a few years.

(My answers may be different considering I am a rape victim)

Same here. I have never had much physical contact with doctors.
I've never had a physical. Most touching is not doctors anyway. Its their support staff that draw blood , take blood pressure , etc.

When I did have contact it was emergency situations and who cares
in those situations.

For a physical, I don't especially care - I like a thoughtful and nice MD. For a psych/therapist though, mature MALE. I am female.
