I think that I have a receptive and expressive communication pattern like this:

Receptive communication from others to me is primarily dependent on verbal. I hear what people say, and I assume what people say is what people mean, and most non-verbal cues are not processed into social meaning, although I did see them. And other things are not integrated into what people said to give social meaning.

Expressive communication from me to others is much more dependent on non-verbal. Instead of using words to describe what I think, I often use a non-verbal cue, a very strange exaggerated deliberate one that others may or may not understand. It seems easier to come up with these strange cues than spoken words, and they sometimes work, or so I think.

Does anyone else have this communication pattern?

Your receptive communication is similar to my receptive communication. Your expressive communication makes me think of old silent movies.
If I can't come up with anything to say I just nod my head and say mmmmmm..
