Its about four high functioning teens that made a social group for themselves. My question is, are there a lot of high functioning autistics like Joey? He's the one that talks kind of slow and is almost childlike. I'm not able to post a link, so just search for "the social group" on youtube.

I hadn't even heard of those videos so I checked it out.

Here's one of the videos.

Thankfully I don't sound like him.

I heard an interview with an aspie on the news some time ago and he sounded like Joey. It made me cringe TBH.
An Aspie guy I sort of knew online said he knew a HFA guy who sounded like he was ret*d. So that's two guys who sounded that way.

very well done, give that lady a gold star!
I can relate to the girl and her difficulty to get her words out, that was sometimes painstaking for me.

That was a very interesting documentary; thank you for sharing.

As high-functioning autism simply means having an IQ above 70, I could imagine that many high-functioning autistics sound and act a lot like Joey, as an IQ above a certain standard deviation has little, if any, correlation to one's ability to communicate verbally and one's maturity.

I am under the impression that I sound and act the most like Jordan.

Thank you for sharing.
I hold my hands a lot like Joey does, more like in shoulder-hight than letting my arms "hang".
At 1:41/1:42 the one male person who wears black does a physical movement which is a strong stim of mine: when I stand upright I do not rock front and back, but I do this "rocking in a half circle with the upper body from side to side", do not know how to explain well.
He does it very short, but for me it is a real stim, for example waiting for the train to go to autism center or generally when I am standing in unfamiliar environment like in a supermarket.
Like the girl I am not very much talking, the boys seem to be more verbally and physically active.

I think Joey looks pretty typically autistic. More interesting is the extrovert guy. I think his name is Will. Damn that guy is high functioning. I would never guess him to be autistic.
