I have my own apartment and work my own job, but my parents provide a lot of support. I may go to Japan to teach English soon. Only thing, what do I do without my parents as support? I have a very weak support network? How will things go then?
What about if my parents move to another town and leave me in my current town?

By "support", do you mean "money"?

What aspect of yourself are you most confident about?

Whether you go to Japan to teach or your parents move, you are going to have to learn to cope by yourself and make new friends.

Going top Japan to teach english, sounds like an exciting and adventures thing to do. Go for it. It will get you out of your comfort zone and force you to rely more on yourself.

Best of luck

I just wanted to say that I know NT's who went to Japan to teach English and they quit almost immediately and went home. I guess they were lonely. So if it doesn't work out don't feel bad about quitting. It is not that uncommon with this type of job. However in saying that, you will never know if this will be a good job for you or you can cope without your parents unless you try.

I think the type of support the OP is talking about is social and emotional support.

um, I don't think she was describing money-laundering. Anyone can feel like this about a big move away an I am not just saying that. If you had to move abroad how would you feel?
