I see it clearly here, in the opening and closing credits. What else could it be?

The clip is blocked, but I know what you're referencing. With the angelic choir singing, I always thought he "fell from heaven" personally.

Yes, the angelic music is a hint, and the light beam is clearly from a UFO that kicked him out and left him on Planet Earth.

I'm not from the UK, but I'm fairly sure that content long pre-dates WP's founding in 2004.

 Good point. I don't get the correlation between "a beam of light from heaven", and UFOs, but I guess it's all personal interpretation.

Mr Bean dates back to about 1990, I still remember watching the first series here in the UK. So yes it predates Wrong Planet by a long way

Despite what some people think Mr Bean was never meant to be autistic, Autism and Aspergers were still largely unheard of back then. He is just a very surreal character created to explore excruciatingly embarrassing comedy. Rowan Atkinson himself admitted that Mr Bean was in fact partially inspired by french comedy performer Jaques Tati.

Wing put Mr. Bean as a good example of a person with AS before AS was a label (same with Sherlock Holmes).

You know, the people with AS have always been there, even if the label hasn't been.

Mr. Bean is cool.

And the wrong planet concept has always been there too, thousands of years before this website.

Yeah, that was the impression I always had from the opening/closing credits, too.

I love Mr. Bean - my mom and stepdad have the DVD collection, and we would take it to relatives' houses and we'd all watch it, back in the day. :D

I've heard Rowan Atkinson describe his character as channeling his inner young boy. That's how I've always seen Mr. Bean--as a man/boy in a state of arrested development.
